(Story)
The brief
Folio wanted a magazine that felt collectible, on a budget that ruled out four-colour printing.
The work
We printed everything in one cobalt ink on two uncoated stocks. Photography was shot for the ink, with deep shadows that hold their detail in a single colour.
The result
Issue one sold out its run of 3,000 copies, and the cobalt spine is now how readers find it on the shelf.
