Why we design in one colour
Every project we take on starts with the same constraint: one colour, chosen early and used everywhere.

Every identity we make starts with a single colour. Not a palette, not a primary with five supporting tones: one colour, chosen in the first week and defended until launch.
Constraint makes things recognisable
People remember brands by colour before they remember the name. When a colour appears on every surface, on the shop front, the receipt and the app icon, it starts to do the work a logo used to do.
A single colour also forces better decisions about everything else. Type has to carry hierarchy. Photography has to earn its place. Layout has to be clear, because there is no second colour to rescue it.
How we choose it
We look for a colour that already belongs to the client: a glaze, a door, the ink on an old order book. A colour with a story is easier to keep than one picked from a trend report.
Then we test it on the cheapest surfaces first. If it holds up on newsprint and a phone screen in sunlight, it will hold up anywhere.
